Happy Blog Sunday everyone! I hope you had a fantastic week and weekend. For this week’s post I want to focus on the idea of ‘Spring Cleaning’!
Every Spring we hear this saying; when people talk about cleaning out their closets, getting rid of the unused, or their preparation for summer. This Spring season I have decided to give ‘Spring Cleaning’ a new meaning.
Having only 2 short weeks left until I head home from college for the summer, I have been doing some thinking. I’ve been wondering how I’m going to pack up the last 8 months and take them home with me. I’ve been stressing about getting a jump start on the tear down of my dorm room and I’ve been thinking about ‘Spring Cleaning’.
I’ve decided that this year, ‘Spring Cleaning’ is going to mean something other than decluttering your room, house or car.
My Spring Cleaning project this year is to declutter the negatives in my life. I’ve learned so much about myself this first year away at school and so much about people in general. Mainly, I noticed how much happier you can be, when you declutter the negatives.
I mean, I only just recently realized that long distance, while still super hard, is not the hardest people have to go through to be together.
This year I discovered that people come into your life for a reason, season or a lifetime and that all scenarios are ok.
I figured out that if you complain enough, you can make a great experience a shit one and vice versa.
What I’m trying to say is that most times, when things seem so bad, maybe even the worst; all you need to do is change the way you look at it.
This Spring season, I am ‘Spring Cleaning’ my priorities and changing the way I look at things.
I hope you have a fantastic rest of your day and if you decide you’re changing the meaning of Spring Cleaning this year, let me know!
P.S. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me, on the contact page or shoot me a message! I love getting feedback and I am always in need of some post ideas!
